Disaster Recovery

Preparing for the 2026 Storm Season

State and local governmental agencies, now is the time to make sure you are prepared for the 2026 Storm Season.  Consider whether you are prepared to: (1) obtain or distribute recovery dollars quickly and correctly, (2) document damage in your community and demonstrate the need for additional funding support, (3) issue permits quickly and correctly, and (4) advise homeowners about contractor fraud, insurance requirements, and future grant opportunities.

We currently have the capacity to take on a few select clients before the 2026 season begins, and encourage all government entities to view some of the more innovative offerings discussed below and to contact us now to help ensure your agency is ready for the 2026 Storm Season.

Who We Are

A Team built from public service focused on protecting the community’s interest when it matters most

Desire Line was founded in 2021 on practical real-world experience and knowledge by a multidisciplinary team of respected, experienced, and certified public officials desiring to exceed clients expectations, deliver much needed community improvements, and reduce the stress and toll of working in post-disaster recovery environments. We are certified urban planners, emergency managers, and floodplain managers that have worked across disciplines to leverage knowledge, time, and resources. We specialize in crucial domains like emergency management, search and rescue, floodplain management, permitting, GIS and data analysis, community engagement, technology support, and software development.

Desire Line provides support for multiple tiers of government, ranging from individual local offices to state-wide departments and is well-known for providing efficient support when communities need it most. Explore select projects below for more information.

Having recently partnered with Desire Line to support recovery efforts in Terrebonne Parish after Hurricane Ida (2021), it has been remarkable to watch Alex shift from public to private sector work—while maintaining her dedication to the public’s interest. I look forward to future opportunities to continue to work with her and her team.
